Cristiano Ronaldo  comes on as substitute for Portugal against Morocco

At the World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo was benched for Portugal's starting lineup a  second time.

Coming on as a replacement  early in the second half of Saturday's quarterfinal loss to Morocco for his squad.

Because of the team captain's behaviour in the previous game, Fernando Santos, the coach,  was upset and decided to  leave him off the starting  lineup against the Swiss.

Coach Fernando Santos was unhappy and opted not to  start the team captain against Switzerland because of his  actions in the previous game.

In the 74th minute, Ronaldo,  who has 118 goals overall in  men's international soccer, replaced the original starter.
