MLB Championship series top plays:  Astros vs Phillies

The Houston Astros defeated  the New York Yankees in  Game 4 of the ALCS on  Sunday, advancing them  further in the MLB playoffs.

Which proceeded to the  World Series following a  rain delay.

The Philadelphia Phillies  had earlier won Game 5 of the NLCS against the San Diego Padres, advancing them to the World Series as well.

A misunderstanding in the  Astros outfield caused by  Gleyber Torres' popup to  shallow centre field resulted  in the ball landing there.  The single made it 2-0 in  favour of New York.

In the bottom of the second  inning, Anthony Rizzo pounded  out a two-out RBI double to  left field, increasing New  York's advantage to 3-0.

Lance McCullers Jr., the  Astros' opening pitcher, did  leave two runners in scoring position, though.

In the top of the third,  Houston's first two batters  reached base.

In order to tie the game 3-3, Jeremy Pena hit a three-run  home run off Yankees starting pitcher Nestor Cortes Jr.
