Todd Gurley hasn't officially retired  definitely done  playing football

Todd Gurley never formally  retired from football, even though he hasn't played in an NFL game since the 2020 campaign while playing for the Atlanta Falcons.

He may have left himself  open to returning if a team  signed him, but he has no  desire in doing so.

Although he hasn't officially retired, Gurley informed Andrew Siciliano during a Thursday appearance on NFL Network that he's through playing.

Gurley responded when  Siciliano indicated that his Twitter activity might be a  sign that he is "calling it quits," saying, "I don't believe there's  any question about that one."

Later, Siciliano questioned  whether Gurley had been terminated, to which the RB  said, "Yeah, most definitely."

Gurley will therefore not put  on the uniform for the game  even though he hasn't submitted his retirement paperwork.

Gurley was among the top  running backs in the NFL from 2015 to 2018. Twice, he was  the NFL's leading scorer.

Earned the 2015 and 2017 offensive awards for rookie  and player, respectively.

His performance declined in  2019, and the Rams ultimately released him prior to the 2020 season.
